Lemuren, 2025

For flute and piano

Lemuren takes its title from the ghostly figures associated with Goethe’s Faust. Rather than following a literal narrative, the piece uses this reference as an atmosphere: a fragile world of presences, interruptions, and sounds emerging at the edge of silence.

Written for flute and piano, the work explores breath, resonance, extended flute techniques, and sparse piano sonorities. The flute moves between air sounds, whisper tones, key clicks, flutter tongue, jet whistles, and melodic fragments, while the piano creates a resonant and unstable space around it.

Garden of a Drunken Countess, 2026

For wind ensemble

Garden of a Drunken Countess is an original work for wind ensemble, developed from a soundtrack-oriented context. The piece draws on Classical balance, transparency, and formal clarity, while introducing subtle harmonic inflections that extend the language without disrupting its stylistic character.

I am Nobody, 2022

For soprano and piano

I am Nobody is a work for soprano and piano based on Emily Dickinson’s poem I’m Nobody! Who are you?. The piece reflects the poem’s ironic tension between private identity and public visibility, treating the voice as a fragile and exposed presence within a sparse piano texture.

The writing explores a contemporary vocal idiom in which silence, resonance, and fragmented gestures shape the relationship between text and sound. Rather than illustrating the poem literally, the music creates an intimate space around its themes of anonymity, withdrawal, and quiet resistance to public display.

Study No. 3 for Concert Electric Guitar | Landschaftspark Duisburg, 2026

Study No. 3 is part of Nine Studies and a Fugue for Concert Electric Guitar. This video version presents the piece as both a concert work and an audiovisual response to the industrial environment of Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord.

The study explores percussive attacks, tremolo bar inflections, unstable resonances and metallic sonorities. In the video, these materials are placed in dialogue with the visual memory of the site, its metal surfaces, abandoned structures and industrial traces.

The time that remains, 2025

Minimal Sketch No. 1, 2023

for piano solo

The first of a set of 6, minimal sketch No. 1, uses hypnotic and contemplative language to create a dormant emotional trance and a psychological statics unable to evolve. The empty fifths that accompany the entire composition symbolize the single modern thought deprived of individual identities. The melody, a representation of the single, tries to break the static with micro-variations but stumbles in the various accents changes. Finally, the accompaniment invades the terrain of the melody, engulfing it.

Short film, original soundtrack by Vincenzo La Spesa

The Dream of the Gate is a short film by Cristiana Giambanco, with an original soundtrack by Vincenzo La Spesa. Developed from a nightmare and transformed into a symbolic visual sequence using Midjourney-generated images, the film explores memory, time, transformation, and disappearance.

The soundtrack supports the unstable dreamlike atmosphere of the film, following the movement of images between childhood, adulthood, old age, ocean, threshold, and disappearance.

Soundtrack

The Globosome is a re-score project created for the Berlin International Film Scoring Competition 2025. The music responds to the film’s visual rhythm, narrative pacing, and changes of atmosphere, using synchronisation, timbral contrast, and dramatic shaping to support the moving image.
